GSR Today - This past week marks one of my favorite weeks of the year, the beginning of football season. This season more than others, however, I have also been more aware (and disappointed) of the values that have been distorted in our society by the big business football has become.

GSR Today - As would most supporters of sisters across the country, I would like to see the investigation of LCWR come to an end with the result being both sides finding common ground and a renewed commitment to the Gospel. Though I am no longer living and working with sisters, their spirit remains an integral part of how I perceive my own call to live the Gospel.

GSR Today - The United Nations marked the first World Day Against Trafficking in Persons July 30 "to raise awareness of this issue among the general public, policy-makers and civil society. The World Day provides an opportunity for the world to act to end this crime and show solidarity with its victims."

Letters from South Sudan - With other conflicts making the news across the globe, not much is visible in the headlines from South Sudan, though unrest continues to create dire needs for the vulnerable there. In the last two days several news reports have surfaced about fears of famine for the people of South Sudan.
