Immigrants who had been waiting at a shelter in Reynosa, Mexico, arrive March 23 at the Humanitarian Respite Center in McAllen, Texas. Volunteers at the respite center helped them get tested for COVID-19 and assisted with travel arrangements to other parts of the country. (Nuri Vallbona)
