Yesterday was the kickoff the End Detention Week of Action, a week of events around the United States aimed at ending immigrant detention. The detention of undocumented migrants has been on the rise for years; so much so that the American Civil Liberties Union reports that in 2009, more people were in federal prison for immigration related offenses than for weapons, property and violent offenses combined.

The graphic below provides three statistics about the state of immigrant detention in the U.S., then check out the map on the #Not1More campaign website to see where End Detention Week of Action events are happening near you.
