Of books and paper: There is still love

Last week, the world met Go Set A Watchman, Harper Lee’s much anticipated sequel (but really prequel) to her classic novel To Kill A Mockingbird. The reviews have been, shall we say, mixed? Nevertheless, a book is making headlines and breaking records and, as a writer, I think that’s pretty cool. So this week’s Three Stats and a Map is all about books. Hooray!

The graphic below shows some highlights from the most Nielsen BookScan data, showing what people in the U.S. read in last year and how they read it. And then this map from Atlas Obscura charts iconic U.S. road trips from literature.
