Readers have been asking us about the Dominican Sisters in Iraq, concerned about their safety.
The sisters have been posting updates on the international website for the Dominicans:
On August 8, they described the nightmarish flight of the Christians, including the sisters, from Karakosh and other towns which had been left unprotected to Erbil.
On August 4, they posted an update about the situation in and around Mosul at that time.
Let us continue to keep the sisters and all the people of Iraq in our prayers. Let us lend our voices to others across the world who are pleading on their behalf for an end to violence.
