Vijaya Mary Pothula is a member of the Congregation of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Annecy. She is Indian, from Anantapur district of Andhra Pradesh, a southern state of India. Her post graduate work was in sciences and in education. She is currently working as a principal in St.Joseph's Girls' High School, at Cuttack, and working on a post graduate diploma in guidance and counseling.

Though there were many negative impacts from the COVID-19 outbreak on the field of education, there was also a positive impact which could take the education system and its methods a step higher.
