Shanti Tirkey is a Salesian Sister of the Kolkata Province in India. With an academic background in secretarial and computer work, her first ministries were in teaching and parish catechesis. Later, she served as a vice principal and teacher, before returning to her home state to initiate a mission and do parish ministry while taking post graduate work. She is now serving in the Auxilium Convent School, Bandel, as teacher and vice principal; she is also in charge of boarders and is vocation promoter for her province.
