Rose Cherian Vachaparampil, a Medical Mission Sister, began ministry as a grassroots worker in rural villages and worked among Indigenous peoples for 13 years in Madhya Pradesh, India. She served as administrator of Immaculate Heart of Mary Hospital, Bharananganam, Kerala for 11 years. She is now administrator of Ayushya, a holistic health center in Ithithanam, Kerala, and serves on her congregation's South Indian Province council.

Building a home and experiencing the synod's theme

Can you build a house with 1,000 rupees at a time? Last Christmas we mobilized people to join together and begin construction of a house for a daily laborer. Many people contributed; by May, the house was a reality.
