Pétronille Chibelushi Tisa is a member of the Ursuline Nuns of Tildonk in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Her academic background was in French-African history and linguistics, and she taught in several different secondary schools. After studying spirituality in Rome, she taught at a major seminary in Lubumbashi, and for four years directed the Maria Malkia Higher Institute, a work of the Union of Major Superiors of Katanga. She also served for several years as deputy secretary general/secretary general of the Union of Major Superiors of the DR Congo in Kinshasa, and has served in congregational formation and leadership. Since 2005, she has been a member of the Pontifical Congregation of the Ursulines of Tildonk. Presently she ministers with vulnerable young girls at the Angela Merici Social Literacy and Sewing Center Lubumbashi.

In Congo we endure conflict, COVID-19 and confinement

In the Democratic Republic of Congo, Ursuline Sisters have four communities in the Katanga province, an area with constant conflict. COVID-19 has impacted our ministries and our spiritual life, but God guides us.
