Nodelyn Abayan is a member of the Sisters of Social Service. She was born and raised in Manila, Philippines. After obtaining a degree in religious studies from St. Paul University, Quezon City, Philippines, she entered the community in 2001 and has been living in the United States since then. She got a master's in early childhood education at San Francisco State University, where she currently works as a child care center administrator at the Early Childhood Education Center. She also does spiritual direction ministry after getting a certificate in spiritual direction from Mercy Center, Burlingame, California.

In graced moments of nature, I cannot be unhappy

My afternoon walk has become a lifesaver for me. Not only does it oxygenate my brain (which helps me relax and stay calm), but it also makes my heart and spirit well up in gratitude and love for life!
