Hope Hamuli Mboni is from the Democratic Republic of Congo and a member of the Ursuline Sisters of Tildonk. Her academic program in education in Belgium was followed by two years in Montreal studying the accompaniment of traumatized people. She ministered in Goma secondary schools as a teacher and director, then as education coordinator and project director for the Jesuit Refugee Service in Congo. She is currently serving as superior vice provincial of the Ursuline Sisters of Tildonk in Congo.

Goma under fire from Nyiragongo, the most dangerous volcano in Africa

Congo's Nyiragongo volcano erupted May 22, and nearby communities, including Ursuline Sisters of Tildonk, are facing loss of lives and homes, difficulties of evacuation and displacement, and a series of earthquakes.
