Sr. Begoña Iñarra is from Bilbao, in the Spanish Basque country. She studied music (piano) and chemistry in Spain, and taught sciences in the Democratic Republic of the Congo as a lay missionary. After three years in Africa, she joined the Missionary Sisters of Our Lady of Africa. She taught in Uganda, did adult education in Ethiopia and Mozambique, and worked on justice and peace in Kenya. In Brussels, she lobbied on African issues at the European Union, and in Paris and now in Madrid, she is committed to fighting human trafficking.
